Hail Sarah,
I realise we have barely spoken to one another, yet I have worked with you on one momentous occasion. I amswered a call by yourself to enter into a gnoll hunt in the Mines, along with several others. The names of the individuals on that particular expedition I am slowly threading together.
If you can recall, I was knocked unconsciousness in that dread mine, twice. I must thankyou immensely for helping me gather my equipment and get on my feet after being struck several times by gnoll missile attacks. Most of my things, I believe, you promptly returned to me. I believe you also mistakenly gave me a copy of your House Archibald employment record - which I have since passed on to Ward Ian Shargen. He keeps it for you. It is how I learned your name and am thus able to write this letter to you.
However, due to the fact that I was knocked unconscious, I did not actually see who lifted me to safety, or who picked up my two pouch bags and a large box that I carry in those pouches. Those bags were never returned to me. Did you happen to see who picked up my equipment from the cavern floor at that time, besides your good self?
I must apologise for running away, crazy-like, when I did. That dextrous hound-like Gnoll Leader with that double ended mace was too much for me at the time - and I could not figure out who had retrieved my equipment, and I was quite fatigued after coming back to consciousness. Thus, I am not so surprised no one could find me to help me retrieve my equipment.
I located the large dark-warrior who accompanied us - his name is Captain Dace Darklight of House Iondale. Twice I have approached him asking about my belongings, and he claims that the Society Signet Ring that was taken from my hand he has seen on your hand. "Ask the hin," he has said to me, twice. Of course, I do not believe him - for he returned to me my large box with half of the valuable items within it gone. I have lost my journal that was in that box, which is irreplaceable... and other goods, higher circle scrolls... keys.. If you do come across these things in any market, please, could you inform me?
So, you may wish to follow up with Captain Dace Darklight about his notion that you still retain my two bags of valuable items (rare armour, scrolls, and such).. and especially the blue Society Signet Ring - because the implication he is making is that you are the thief .. and not him. I thought it best to inform you of Darklight's words concerning you, for your own safety. Be aware also: I have had it confirmed through first hand experience that Captain Dace Darklight has a 'tainted' demeanour about him. The guards on the gates of New Dunwarren would not let him in due to a divine warding they have there.
If you do manage to locate the Signet Ring, or the Journal (it is a book with my name on the inside cover, labelled 'Journal'), please contact me as soon as possible. You will surely be rewarded fairly for your efforts.
