I get what you are saying, though I feel like Americans know how old Bush is, don't they? I doubt anyone would guess like 40 or 70. Then again, the people in this country never cease to amaze me.

In the case of Sanctuary, people actually see their leaders walking around town everyday and could easily guess at their ages, at least the ones of their own race, right?

Publicity shots of the more prominent Councilors can be seen on the campaign section of the website. The others? You'll have to see them in-game, or ask somebody else who has, if you want to find out what they look like or how old they are.

Um... Tarja Halonen is a woman.

Actually, Tarja's age did became an issude during the [re-]election, as the opposition tried to use it against her. "She's 62 now, she'll be 68 at the end of the term, do you think a woman of her age can deal with all the strains of the office". Silly stuff, but the age of the candidate could actually be a factor in the elections. That said, I think a descriptive age would work much better, as it really is not the years, it's the mileage.
