AS you all know far too well this city is in ruins, after so many attacks and payments the Sanctuary faces a financial crisis it never seen before.
Therefore the city needs gold, a large amount of it. This leads me to think Sanctuary’s Bank is no longer a trusted institution. As we all know the city might block your bank accounts using YOUR gold as they see fit.
For those who don’t have good memory or is new in town, a similar fact happened with the Duegar’s bank, closing every account, making people lose it all, after a stupid aggressive move from the council.
I’m just here to advice you all, if you are stupid enough to trust the council’s actions once again, and only the gods know how unpredictable the council can be; leave your money in the bank. But if you fear their lack of experience, the current chaotic state of Sanctuary and don’t want to risk losing everything you ever won, remove your gold as soon as you can.
That action would not only make you safer but force our current councilmen to find alternative trade routes, alternative commerce alliances, instead of always counting with your gold.

Sanctuary is not in ruins. Indeed, it stands strong despite separatist movements due to the valiant and decisive actions of the Watch.
Sanctuary's economy is being rejuvenated, by willing and able citizens. Before denouncing the Council, ask yourself what you are doing to aid the city in its time of need. Are you content to spread rumours and slander, without even signing your name?
Fellow citizens, I implore you- Now, as always, the Council and the City it represents need your loyalty and trust. We are at the dawning of a new age; and we CAN stand strong amidst our enemies!
For Sanctuary,
Sachrissa Elaueth.

You ask what I am doing to aid the city, Councilor; I’m telling the citizens the former actions of your council, which brought this town to this situation. But if your council leaves a history of tragedy and stupidity, it shall be remembered as it was, not as “rumors” or “slanders”.
You say the city is recovering, funny, come down to Lower Sanctuary and take a look around.
But I thank you for reminding me something very important. We have over 4 separatism movement, each one claiming to be responsible for this town, therefore responsible for everybody’s gold. And at any time one of these movements can take over controlling everything, including your gold, even for a brief time.
If you ask any citizen who’s responsible for this town, they cannot answer. I doubt even you know.
And you want me to advice people to leave all their earning in a bank that knows not its own owner?
Not all of us are merchants who explores current situation of this town to make a living.
I’m sorry miss Elaueth, but your words needs actions and a lot more credibility than mine.

Firstly, I am not a Councillor, only a concerned citizen that is strongly opposed to people who spread harmful propaganda and who still do not have the courage to sign their names next to such things.
Lower is not a part of Sanctuary, nor does it wish to be a part of Sanctuary. There are people who continue to aid the people of Lower still, however, myself included- Through the Beacon.
Only one insitution controls Sanctuary's Bank, and that is the Council.
Mycopia does not control it.
New Dunwarren does not control it.
The Magocracy of the Spellguard does not control it.
If I would ask someone who is responsible for Sanctuary, it is the same as it has been for over a hundred and fifty years- The Council and the Watch. The Council as the voice of the people, and the Watch as their arm and the shield of the people.
And, finally, I have become a merchant again purely because I wish to see Sanctuary's economy improved and strengthened, and unlike some others, I prefer to be proactive in things I care deeply about.
I would be happy to talk out these differences with you in person rather than by public flyer, however, should you feel you want to. I'm easy to find about Sanctuary- I don't hide from the population.
I hope my many actions and statements of facts have helped to lend credibility to my argument.
Sachrissa Elaueth.

Oh yes, I almost forgot, you failed to become a councilor.
Lower is not part of Sanctuary because the council decided so. Of course a war had to happen in order to destroy any possible opposes to this decision.
The beacon is what always was, a place to gather the votes of the needed. There’s nothing cheaper than getting votes in trade of a warm soup. Perhaps if you dedicated yourself more you could actually have won.
Oh I have to agree with you in the control matter, what controls Sanctuary is the same entity that always controlled. But that’s hardily the council.
Anyway you should be saying thanks, since people with money in their hand in a chaotic situation tend to acquire goods to protect themselves from violence, your goods. Therefore there is nothing better for a weapon’s and armor’s dealer than despair. But you know that lesson far too well.
About your proposal to speak in person, don’t worry, I shall visit you soon enough.

Historically, Lower was not a part of Sanctuary when it was first settled. It became a part of Sanctuary through the actions of the Council; but the majority of its population always rejected 'Upper' authority and the protection of the Watch. I think that the frequent rebellions and insurrections should confirm that well enough.
Also, as I understand it the Beacon has always tried to be neutral in political affairs. That you would suggest that I am providing what assisstance I may in order to gain votes is frankly disgusting to me- you asked what I was doing to benefit Sanctuary. I provided you with the more notable things, that is all.
I look forward to our meeting. I do hope that you won't try to silence me to prevent me combatting your lies and deception, assassination can be such a messy affair. Still- at least trying to kill me would have the added benefit of not having to read your laughable efforts to insult me, however it turned out.
Until our meeting, friend.

An irritated looking private is seen gathering up the original 'notice', the responses and counter-reponses. A small notice is placed half over them, a large zurkhwood spike at the top of it affixes it to the board. Incidentally the private carelessly impaled all the other notices, right through the middle.
This constitutes a public nuisance, send letters like normal people. Cease and desist, by order of the Watch.
