[A letter to the Council]

Honorable Councilors

I speak on behalf of the Seekers, an organization that until recently was an imperative part of Sanctuary’s defense against both internal and external threats.

I do not mean to raise in this letter the question of the Seekers’ innocence or guilt in regards to the murder of Mayor and First Citizens Demetrius Bhast. It is my belief that all factions in Sanctuary have their history of failures and rogue members. I direct your attention to names such as Sheriff Eugene Walters. The entire Watch was not persecuted and driven out of town due to the actions of their leader and several prominent members.

First of all, the Seekers are not only important as the single most capable scouting faction in Sanctuary, with many years of experience and gathered information, they are also imperative when it comes to locating slavers and freeing slaves from the grasp of the drow, the duergar and the aberrant creatures who surround the settlement as well as those slaving-circles operating within Sanctuary.

Secondly, the Seekers’ raids on various caravans have provided Sanctuary for many years with resources and products such as finer silk, leather, wood and even drink. They have also located possible sources of ore to be mined, something the city is in dire need of as the only capable smith in town is currently working with salvaged goods.

Thirdly, the Seekers were created to find the Way and to guide people to the Surface and out of the Eternal Night. The Seekers are currently working on several possible leads to the Surface, from old trade routes to planar-portal connections. Without the open cooperation and knowledge of the citizens and factions in the city, their work is severely hindered. Their knowledge of the Underdark is also valuable to anybody wishing to learn how to survive while traveling the Underdark.

The city is more divided now then it has ever been before, and it needs the Seekers’ support, knowledge and skills. The Seekers wish nothing more then to be able to resume their dedication and work in the protection of Sanctuary as a whole and its citizens, to set their skills against the dangers that ever lurked, to seek out the Way to the surface and to inspire others to do likewise. Ardrion Quilwen -Crone.

Your letter has been received and put forward on the discussion table.

Councillor Wyric Crowshire

Sanctuary Council

You have had my letter for some time, has the discussion reached a stand-still? I eagerly await your reply.

Ardrion Quilwen. -Crone.

Ardrion Quilwen,

We are still discussing it. It has been brought for a vote, where two have placed their support for it. There are still some changes that could be put to the current provisions, before we attempt another vote. It will be done before the next tenday is over, I believe.

If you could answer for the Seekers, what they can do with these presented terms, it will speed up the process:

Define the Seeker's: - Charter - Duties to the City - Contribution; i.e. raided supplies - Contract for the Seeker's hall - Accountability
