I was curious what the policy was on purchasing an item from one NPC, to sell to another one at a higher price? I can see easily how this could be taken advantage of in game, yet it does fit with the classic "supply and demand" theory.

Not supposed to happen. Utilizing a situation such as this to turn a profit is tantamount to grievous exploiting. If you find any instances of this, they should be e-mailed to the escapefromtheunderdark@gmail address so they can be rectified immediately.
