Official recruitment of men and women willing to defend the Beacon in Lower will take place two days from now (Friday, 12 noon GMT -8 / PST). Caretaker Patricia Threadbare will be in-house to speak with those interested in a position. Mercenaries and Mercenary companies are welcome so long as they can prove they are of righteous heart. If you have already spoken with a member of the Beacon staff, please send a brief letter to confirm that you are still willing to lend your aid. This can be done at any time; the date mentioned merely refers to new hires.

Duties that will be expected of you are simply this: to defend against external threats such as monsters; to prevent assault, theft, and other such deeds within the Beacon and local area up to the edge of the marketplace and alleys around the old fortress; and to prevent the manipulation or abuse of those residing at the Beacon.

This is not the only oppourtunity for a position at the Beacon; it is merely the first open recruitment. In addition, those who specialize in healing, cooking, cleaning, child rearing, or formal education are welcome to apply for full-time live-in positions.

As always, all are welcome at the Beacon who bring no quarrel or dark intentions.
