Letter to Stanislaw Lem ((DM))

Good Priest of Tyr,

I was overjoyed to learn of the efforts to build a place free from the dregs and cloying evil that permeates the very air here in this cesspool called Sanctuary. Justiciar Lorent showed me the work that had been done and I was filled with Torm's grace when I discovered to know that the Triad was represented here by such a grand structure.

My Penance of Duty makes it clear that I must serve the Temple of Tyr, and I will do so gladly and well. My name is Tormtar Geoffrey Wellington, and I am a Vigilant of the Loyal Fury.

I offer to pledge my sword to you if you will have it.

You may reach me at the Last Stand Inn, or speak to me when I come to the Temple for prayer.

*another letter follows*

Good priest of Tyr,

It troubles my conscience that I made such derogatory comments about this settlement. There are many fine people here, and few irredeemable souls that deserve to be counted as drags.

And though many parts of Sanctuary literally are a cesspool, to refer to it thus as a whole is unfair. My oath as a Tormite would have me do what I can to rectify these issues.

Yet the appeal of New Dunwarren is undeniable, and I wish to assist in its fruition in any way possible. It is my hope to hear your wisdom soon.

Tormtar Geoffrey Wellington, Vigilant of the Loyal Fury

Because Stanislaw is blind, it takes a while for the letter to be received and read to him. A response is penned by a helpful gnomish citizen.

Speak with citizen Elmuthalleth, of New Dunwarren, about citizenship here if you wish it. I place my trust him in him to judge you worthy or not to call this place your home.

-Stanislaw Lem.
