LOWER SANCTUARY FACTIONS

I am Noirin Waken, Lore master, Once of the mighty Mithril kingdom of Old Shanatar. It is my pleasure to send you the first completed Documentary of lower I have made. I interviewed one person each from the more prominent and visible factions in lower. The Red Skulls, The Harbinger Temple, the Tribe of Blades, and the Beacon, each of whom I interviewed with great Success. I tried to interview young Lady Friday but she was much to eager to sit down and have a chat with me, but she did discuss numerous topics with her colleagues at the Beacon. I shall start with the Red skulls, since I interviewed them First.

Red Skull Member Thelonious, : The Red Skulls are merely here to show the path to Paradise. They do not worship -any- demonic deity, in fact, they battle them more often than not, or so they believe. They believe that we are already dead, and our respective deity has sent us to the hells for purification and to prove our faith. There temple tolerates no violence within its compounds, they do not take an active political role in lower Sanctuary, but they support causes that actively promote peace. Why they think they might see a boost in membership if the Masters of Lower Sanctuary we cruel, they don't think cruel masters would be good for lower itself. An Elder Council of a sort heads the Red Skulls, but all they do is meditating and other takes care of their essential needs. The Red Skulls do not deal in mercantilism, nor will they anytime soon. They offer Sanctuary to any who seek it, but you are required to keep an Open mind.

Beacon member Patty Threadbare: The Beacon has suffered numerous attacks in the past, right now, one can still see the blood on the ground, the horror on the peoples face, but one can see the grim determination to push on and to strive for survival, to make the Beacon survive. The Beacon has 3 main goals: Feed the Hungry, House the Poor, and Assist the people of Lower. This is a total charity operation. The Beacon has suffered a recent Bannite attack of the persons Vladimir Kostova, and Chadwick Dansforth. The Beacon has resigned to the fact that attacks are inevitability, but in the past the Beacon has been totally destroyed, as has its counter part, the House of Light. The Beacon does not have a strong influence with the people of lower, and the people have an air of wariness about them. Patty believes the Beacon should remain neutral to the going on of the Lower. Since the Beacon has once supported militant acts against evil. Patty hopes that the Beacon will find its Niche through endurance and perseverance.

The Hoaran Temple, Jerick Klandt: Justice is done here. The Hoaran temple is a strict, non-political society. They hold allegiance to the Doombringer alone. They hold no relationship with the Red Skulls, but they hold a strong Respect for the Beacon but there is no official relationship between the two. The Hoaran temple is not the best place to turn to unless you have some Ill that needs to be avenged. The temple is concerned about the lawless madness that is gripping Lower. They believe that the madness must be judged, and tried before any rebuilding can begin.

The tribe of Blades, Andar Sund, Ninth Rank: The tribe of blades believe if the people wish to end the Chaos of Lower, then they should pick up the sword. They are a tribe of mercenaries, from the point of view of Andar, at the same time; they hold a deep respect for the people of lower need for independence. The tribe is non-political, and tries to maintain a friendly relationship with all of lower and upper. Its merchant business is thriving, and that is about it.

Cave worm Clan, member unknown: Cave Worm clan has no part of the Chaos, as one member summed up all my questions nicely, “My meat, I hunt, my food, I harvest, my Family, I protect. We have no part of the chaos.”

They are certain persons of lower that are becoming prominent in the eyes of the lower populace, of these persons I only managed to speak with one, and she is Friday Wainwright: She is trying to bring unity to the persons of lower. She says that people will patrol the street, if the cause trouble, they get kicked out of lower. While this has not been enacted, she says if Upper goes into turmoil, it will be.

Endnote: Lower is a synonym for Chaos. Murder, muggings, poverty, starvation are a daily seen and are part of the everyday world to them. Perhaps lower will one day rise from its ashes should a leader be able to unite the factions and put a stamp down on the crime, but till then, it won’t happen any time soon.
