These posters are hung up in a few of the more prominent places of Upper and Lower Sanctuary, however not spread in great numbers.

Earlier this dark a speech was held at the Town Hall podium by Baron Iondale, concerning the Council Elections. For those not present, this is what was said:

Citizens!

I am here before you to explain a few standpoints of mine for the next event of elections, and why you should vote for me in Alturiak.

First, I must start by voicing my support for the decision made by the Sheriff to care for our settlement, and my condolences over the Spellguard's choice to leave our City. However they are still vital to this City's further exitstance.

As I have argumented before, and as the Temporary Overseer of Sanctuary has newly stated, the position of Mayor must be removed. This is because he is a weakness and an invitation.

The Citizens of Sanctuary adopted the system of the Dalelands, the system of a Council. And this, because, no one person would stand as the obvious leader and target for attacks.

Even so we may not face physical attacks upon our Mayor all that often, but he will be a subject for the corruption that we must work hard to root out and banish from the very foundations of our City.

And I cannot do nothing but say we must learn, we must learn from this time of crisis. Once corruption within the Council, coupled by the death of our Mayor was revealed our City fell apart. That is why it is even more important in the future to avoid this.

And as I have said before, we must do all we can to unite, strengthen and protect our home.

That is why I take personal responsilbility for clearing out corruption form our halls.

An additional City funded organisation must be established with the sole purpose of hunting those with ill intentions for our CIty, possibly when this chaos is passed we can assure this."

"The previous proposal also furthers one of my other goals. To increase and improve our City's versatility, we must consider other organisations to bolster us on various grounds, additional to what he Watch, Spellguard, Seekers and Society have done before.

All groups like this should recieve benefits from the City after a good inspection and evaluation.

Now, towards the last of my proclamations.

Sanctuary, as a settlement of the Underdark, must understand it's own potential. We are no major force, merely a nuisance upon the face of drow and other darker, dangerous things. That is why we must must care for our own interests and the space given to us. We don't even know the mysteries and resources of our home, and we must change that.

That is also why we must learn how to be subtle as a collective."

"The enviorment around us must be used to conceal our presence and the laws on magical warding enforced with grater determination, Citizens must learn to take responsibility enough not to drag enemies to our Gates.

We must not take risks.

To summarise, I wish for the best of the City. Either as as Sanctuary, New Dunwarren or whatever name it carries. We must strengthen and improve our living conditions, defense and awareness.
