Letter to Patty Threadbare

Dear Lady Threadbare,

We have not met, but we must speak regarding an urgent matter. It is most private. Perhaps I might meet you at the Beacon sometime? I would also like it if Sir Anver could join us.

Sincerely,

Janus Darnielle.

Janus Darnielle,

You are welcome at the Beacon, and I will try and make the time to see you today or tomorrow. Were I to know what this is regarding, I think I would be better prepared to discuss it. Worry not for privacy, as the people here at the Beacon are not particularly nosey in that way. A simple, wax-sealed reply ought to do.

Thank you for your time, and I hope to see you soon.

-Patricia Threadbare, Mendicant and devout of Ilmater

This letter is sealed by wax:

Patty, it is regarding Elizabeth Dufroid. She has used enchanting magics to submit me to her wiles. I am no longer able to wander through Upper freely for fear of running into her and falling under her spell once more. I must gather my strength and prepare to confront her, and I would like to use the Beacon as a safehouse until I am ready. She must be stopped. You know this. Anver knows this. I am ready to join your cause.

Sincerely,

Janus Darnielle.

Janus Darnielle,

Indeed, it would seem that Dufroid is more than capable of bending the minds of others. With this in mind, you are more than welcome to take refuge at the Beacon. I would implore you to seek out a potion to ward against evil influences, or even a potion of the radical soul; imbibing one of these should effectively sever her control of you.

I am currently seeking out testimonies against Dufroid, so if you would be so kind as to write your own brief statement then I will see to it that, with the others, we can bring down Dufroid's dark ambitions.

Warm regards, ~Patricia Threadbare
