Spellguard Speech

An Agent of the Spellguard gave the following speech in the Town Hall earlier today. It was heard by many

By order of Commander Simms, Head of the Spellguard. I announce that this city as it was established is dissolved. It has been for some time with the death of the Mayor, may his soul ascend as it should to be with his family. The Spellguard hereby will secede from the corpse of Sanctuary, and institute a magogracy within our current territory of the Upper City, to the half of the city we deem necessary for our needs. We will continue to defend the upper gates and the lives of those within the walls as needed. Know that as of now we are the only force capable of this within our walls. All citizens who wish to live a productive and free life under our governance will be invited to stay here, or to move here. They will be provided for should they work, just as any man who works is provided for by his labor. The area outside out immediate governance will not be of our concern directly and in public.

I hereby reafirm:

1. That the Spellguard as the leading defense force will continue to defend the walls and peoples homes against threats as we deem them.

2. All citizens who maintain their homes within or near our territory within the walls will be protected moreso perhaps than others who are distant.

3. That unwarded spellcasting is still a threat to our lives, and will be dealt with as we see fit.

4. Those who choose to support the Spellguard, and or serve in the ranks of the Associates will be rewarded for their efforts

5. That the Spellguard organization is still the most prepared to provide stability and safety to those that seek it, and who will ally themselves with us.

6. Know that the council is defunct, that our organization is soveirgn of any old or new legal body, and that the city in chaos and weak as a whole.

The territories have been clearly marked, and may or may not change as we deem it necessary. Those having dealings or acting within out bounds, know that our law is in effect, and you will be judged accordingly for your actions.

it was also noted that this agent was specific enough to call Frum Highhill not by the title of councilor, but by his name Mr. Highill. The agent also reiterated that the current and any following council had no power or validity. He then ordered the two associates present to escort Mr. Highill safely home
