A Proud Tradition: Watch Recruitment Posters

Each Poster is topped by a ink and charcoal drawing of a Watchman with an enormous axe engaged in fierce combat with a hulking Ogre, a drow warrior, and a dead bugbear lying on in a pool of blood. The fight occuring on a bridge overlooking a pit of darkness.

Citizens of Sanctuary,

We live in a time turmoil The Council is shattered. Our mayor is dead. Creatures both ancient and evil seek our city's downfall. Is there an organization that can stand against such obtacles? The answer is a resounding "Yes!", citizens. You need only look to the pages of history to see the answer.

A Proud History of Service

The Watch is the oldest institution founded by our ancestors for the defense of the city. Created by Charles Bresley on the night of Sanctuary's founding, the Watch has served the interests of Sanctuary ever since. We have been an integral part of the city even before the passing of the Civil Defense Act (the act which formally established the Watch, the Spellguard, and the Seekers). The Watch was at the forefront of the early golden years of Sanctuary. The Lysik Revolution and the Ubel Uprising were only put down because of the Watch's aid. Time and time again the Watch has stood at the fore of the battle to protect Sanctuary.

The role of the Watch has changed little through the years, and the role of the Watch today is clear. We are tasked with the defense of Sanctuary against all threats, within and without. This not only means the great task of guarding the city gates, but enforcing the laws within the city as well. The task we face is one that requires unwavering dedication and focus.

What Say You?

We as a city stand at a precipice today. Who will Sanctuary turn to in at the point of most desperate need? The Seekers have betrayed us. The Council disintegrates by the day. The Watch alone stands whole and ready to return our city to security and prosperity. But the job may not be done alone. The Watch calls for your aid, you dedicated few. Will you not aid us with your loyalty, your oaths, and should our foes call, your blood? Speak to your local Watchman today if you wish to join our cause. The Watch is a proud tradition of honor and service.

As Charles Bresley said on that famous dark, "I shall watch this night...". Will you not watch with us?
