Howland Michael,I've taken the liberty of purchasing the property for the House, and have secured all necessary permits and deeds. The Spellguard stand ready to secure the property from arcane scrying upon its completion. I've also taken the liberty of contracting a group of stone-masons and builders who I've worked with before. They do excellent work and and are prepared to finish the property according to specifications as soon as the final funds trickle in.
Your friend,
Demetrius Bhast
Cog,
This is really good news. I'd still like you to speak with the Clan if you have the time so that we can compare cost. However, if the cost is similar I think we should go with Bhast's associates, as I'd like to see people within the city itself employed for our project.
Also, when you speak with the Clan see if they are able to provide some equipment for members of the house. Ideally, I am looking to equip the members with armor or robes (Something like 3 sets of robes, 3 chain shirts and 2 sets of full plate to begin with) and shields that have minor enchantments that make one more effective at healing or protect them from darker forces. In time more sets would be ordered.
See what they can do, and get a price quote. However, let them know that nothing can be purchased until some time after the house is built as all funds are being allocated toward that cause. Perhaps this will give them more incentive to lower their estimate on the construction?
If I have the time I will join you, though I still think it best that they deal more directly with you, as I have little expirence with these matters. Health and happiness to you, friend.
-Michael
