I was thinking it might be a good idea to add a clock to the forum webpage and perhaps the Homepage the tells the time in GMT. This would help with scheduled events.
Clock
I second this,
You are welcome to link me to a javascript time clock that outputs text only.

Will this do?
Seems like it will
[edit] Nevermind. Was just pointing out that EfU is officially Eastern Standard Time (according to Howland), but that doesn't really relate exactly to this post. So, disregard I suppose.
just noticed this has been implemented. Yay!
Still would like to see more people posting times in GMT/UTC or using links to the worldclock site.
23-05-07
Month 23, Day 5! This is more confusing than the calendar of Harptos.
And now I can literally watch the seconds of my life tick away as I lurk the forums...
Day - Month - Year, not Month - Day - Year. >_>
If it can display the month in a 3-letter form, that would be nice, though.
It doesn't show Daylight Savings. That might cause some confusion if people are planning for preludes. It's an hour slow.
Daylight savings doesn't apply to GMT. GMT is always GMT.
In England anyway, technically we are now in BST or British Summertime
Oh. Well, ignore that then! Me like clock.
erglion 23-05-07It does only good for you yanks to learn to use the proper date format. Duration-wise, days < months < years, so it's fairly logical!Month 23, Day 5! This is more confusing than the calendar of Harptos.
Hopefully you can't get confused anymore.
Halfbrood It doesn't show Daylight Savings. That might cause some confusion if people are planning for preludes. It's an hour slow.
This is generally why I use the acronym UTC instead. People often equate GMT with what time it currently is in London... but its not!
UTC means Universal Co-ordinated Time or something similar. Plus it takes us away from making Greenwich the centre of the world.
Greenwich is the centre of the world.
I like this idea and am glad that it works on the website now.
