I'm sure you remember well the expedition in which I enlisted your help in the name of the Society. The investigation into cult activity reported near the former Steady Hand? I understand that you were knocked about terribly by that chained up beholder (chained up, as you pointed out to me). I understand that the supposed human and orcish 'thralls' were not entirely enthralled, but were fighting umber hulks when we found them, as you pointed out to me. I understand that we found caged ogres that were loosened and subsequently slaughtered by the expedition members...

I also understand your disquietude about these events that took place in that basement, and the encounter with the entity known as 'Zepheron'.

Have you made any headway in your investigations into this name? I know you recommended I contact your friend Otto Mortissen, a cleric of the Red Knight, about obtaining lore and insight into such a name - but I do not know where to reach him.

I know that this investigation would probably be better suited to Society business; however, I am not a Society member yet. Even if I was an Ordinant, i would be consulting you on this matter anyway, for you were a first hand witness. And since I have unwittingly dragged you into this matter of Zepheron, and your perceptions have been sound, I trust what more you may have found out. And since this cult was operating so close to Sanctuary, I imagine it may concern you and your House also.

I must admit that the House has done little as of yet to look into this particular cult activity. With the continued seperation of Upper and Lower, my lordship has us patrolling the streets of Lower on a daily basis. With that in mind, I shall inform the guard staff to keep an open ear and eye for information.

Chaplain Otto Mortissen is a servant in my noble lord's household, and can be reached there. He commonly holds private meetings for people, or can be reached via letter.
