Charwick Danforth

Let it be known on this the fifth of Aluriak that Charwick Danforth, willingly and of sound mind and body has sworn an oath to forsake Tyr and his service to him.

Let follow the details of this paladin's fall from the Triad's service.

A powerful priest of Bane was betrayed by his traveling companions and slew them for their folly. Two escaped his wrath, but the third was struck down and offered as sacrifice to the Dark Lord.

Both quailed in fear when the priest found them again and challenged them to duels to recover the corpse of their friend. Charwick Danforth had the courage to agree to duel the priest of Bane.

His failure was evident from the start. Upon his defeat he offered this priest of Bane his "name, honor, and life" before the two withdrew to speak in private.

There the paladin admitted his love of dark things, and gave the priest of Bane a collection of powerful and evil artifacts he'd gathered but feared to use. Together, they swore oaths to Bane and cursed the name of Tyr and all Tyr stands for.

In return for these oaths, the paladin was given the corpse of the woman to do with as he would as well as her spoils. I shall not describe the desecration of the corpse, but it would appall even the strongest heart.

Know friends of the Triad that Charwick Danforth now calls you his enemy as he walks lost and torn between the life he once walked and his new longing for the might of Bane's service.
