Citizens of Sanctuary!

Recently, Councilor Crowshire relayed to the public that your right to elect Councilors to fight for you interests has been delayed. The reason presented was that it would allow them time to elect another Mayor. I find this most troubling for this reason…the council is not fully staffed with councilors due to deaths, criminal conviction’s, and resignations. It is my personal belief that a significant decision like electing the next Mayor of Sanctuary should only be made by a fully staffed council, which are elected by the majority of the citizens.

Furthermore, there are rumors in the streets pertaining to Councilors Crowshire and Highill negotiating with representatives of the Shadow Tribe to secure the Shadow Dragon’s support of Sanctuary’s defenses. While I understand that this dragon has fought off two Drow invasions of Sanctuary, I would relay that this too is a significant decision that should be voted on by a fully staffed council.

Each of you understands that elections of people representatives are the best way to insure each of your voices is heard. I continue to express my interest in being your representative for Council, and will work to end abuses in the legal system as we are currently experiencing.

Haren De’votell for Council!

All well and good saying we should have had a fully elected council but the Drow were hardly going to politely wait till we got one were they?

Councillor Wyric and Councillor Frum of Sanctuary have acted in the best possible interest of Sanctuary. Great Shadow hasn't brought the death to two invading Drow forces, but many; of which many never even reached your gates. Is great Councillors, and the Sanctuary has to respect the decisions they make.

De'Votell,

Learn laws. New council members need to be inaugurated by the mayor, so if we have no mayor, there can be no new council members.
