My name is Hosfyrd Reev and I write bearing ill news.
On the third of Alturiak, a halfling male named Rulgo was tortured and assaulted by a mysterious woman. This act was witnessed by another halfling, Willymar, who happened across the scene on one of his exploration ventures.
He immediately ran back to town and told us, being myself, Ordinant Iodeus and soldier Roark. A pursuit was began, but the woman escaped with the use of invisibilty.
After questioning Rulgo further on the matter, he revealed little and is clearly frightened of her, saying she may kill his friends. He did mention she goes by the names Jasra and Illinea. He seems to be her creature still, so frightened is he, so the truth of these names remains unknown.
We also questioned a woman named Ariana Ravenslock, who was seen conversing with the mysterious torturer just hours before the act was done. In my opinion, she was not forthright with us. She said that the woman was some cult leader, a cult centered around the 'Hidden One'. The name she gave was Dark Mother Brynn.
The foul woman was garbed in dark armour, a dark cloak and wore a dark helm similar to the common Undermask in design.
