So this is it for Scrappayeti. Thank you everyone who took so much of their time to make this such a valuable experience for me. It must not be even a year that I have played here, but it feels like a lifetime. There are countless players who have made this experience so rewarding; so many I won’t even try to list them here. I’m sure they all know who they are. Likewise to the DM team, who selflessly spent so much time and brainpower contributing to EfU. A heartfelt thank you to Arkov and Howland for being the creative force behind a truly unique and worthwhile play area. In a time dominated by greed and individual gainsaying, it is so rare to find a bubble of cooperative, non-commercial entertainment. Speaking from the heart, I joined NWN servers (admittedly CoA before I found EfU) at a very difficult time of my life, right after a six-year relationship that ended tragically. I was very, very unhappy, and I used the characters I created here to express some of my rage and grief. I also used them to explore some of my obvious RL shortcomings. I am really glad that the community of players and DMs were tolerant to my often moody and difficult personalities, both in and out of character. Again, I cannot thank all enough, without sounding like a total tool.

It was unfortunate that it ended on a sour note. After another unsatisfactory character death, I expressed my displeasure on the general EfU chat. I was banned from general forum although I am not sure why or by who. I had chosen to speak there, because Exilestrife had made clear that the death was legitimate, from the perspective of the DM team. There was no specific complaint to be made, I was just venting frustration at my plight. I was also unfortunately interrupted in my discussion with Exile, when the server went down. I was subsequently banned from the game as well, so I could not discuss any of this IG with him either. Sad but cest la vie.

So on that note I wave goodbye, and hope I don’t stay awake too many nights wondering “Why did the svifneblin leave, and what was the blasted machine for?” or “What was the surface really like?”

I am sure that I was in the wrong for my actions or words and I bear no ill will to any DM or player. I was glad to be a part of EfU.

P.S. Apparently I was also banned from the forums! This is posted by a kind proxy, as apparently the DM team takes their censorship seriously. Please don’t ban my proxy, I twisted their arm, honest.

Always had a good time roleplaying with you scrappa, being one of my many favorites. Perhaps, if I may make the suggestion, you could talk things over with the DMs/player in question; because it sounds like you're not yet entirely done with the server. Anyway, I hope I'll be seeing you around again someday. Take life easy and relax some, scrappa.

Thoroughly enjoyed my time playing with you, Scrap. Having the chance to play with yourself and our mish mash posse was one of the things that got me interested in the server in the first place, and it's a shame to see you go.

Scrappayeti, it's very sad to see you go, you have created some of the most memorable characters I've seen on a persistent world and it was always a pleasure to chat to you. Jake will always be one of my all time favourite characters, as will Vrugar, Merrial and countless others. Good luck in life, I hope to see you drop by again, whether in #EfU or another channel.

We don't like to discuss these sorts of things publicly, however I will remind you that the majority of EfU bans are temporary and everyone who is banned is invited to contact the DM team after a week to discuss the terms and possibility of their return.

Certainly nobody is happy about how things ended, however using the time to really consider whether or not NWN is fun for you, or just more stress that its worth, would probably be a worthwhile endeavor. Take care Scraps, whatever you decide!
