I was considering a silent auction type post offering some items for sale. Post the items and starting bid + a bid increment and an auction closing time. I was going to do this rather than a "auction here at this time" type post due to the fact that, though my play time is up, it is still a bit sporadic at times.

I did, however, notice that I haven't seen any posts of this kind. Is it ok, or frowned on to do this kind of auction? I just thought I'd clear it before I went ahead and assumed.
