Dear Chapterhouse Members,
I seek counsel with a scholar versed in lore of the aberrations of the Underdark. It appears to me that the Society of the Ordered Mind is a centre for the development of such arcane and mystical learning, and that its members would be readily equipped with such obtuse knowledge. I am conducting research into the nature of the wild mental energies that 'seem to be' the exclusive province of aberrations such a Flayers, Hulks, and Mind Dogs. Such research aims at locating the Source of such energies, so as to protect fellow Sanctuarians against the malignant use of such mental energies.
In particular, I seek someone who can assist with research that might unveil benign and good natured beings who utilise the Psionic Mind Sciences. Such knowledge, I believe, would make a great asset in combatting the overwhelmingly malign use of such mind powers by dark forces and entities that inhabit the deep pits and caverns of the Realms.

P.S: I will return to the Chapterhouse within seven cycles, to hopefully speak with the Paladin Armand, or another Society Member, and collect a short letter of reply, if it be the will of the Members to reply to this inquiry. I trust this discourse between us will become a most fruitful endeavour for the Chapterhouse and all who live in our 'Sanctuary'.
