I know that you are likely extremely busy and occupied with the hounding of the foul murderers of First Citizen Bhast, and rightly so; but I write this to assure you that I will do all in my power to strengthen the Watch as First Citizen Bhast vowed to do in his monumental last speech.

It was a truly dark time earlier when Demetrius Bhast met his end. I hope that, with your support, I can make sure his great works do not go forgotten and trodden down, and his vision lost. A strong Watch is a strong Sanctuary; people would do well to remember that more often. I trust you will take these words and my promise into account in the coming times, Sheriff Azzam. You are a wise and dedicated man without peer, and I have been told you are as much by many people.
