The Thain of Clan Gruhnstubhle has replied to my response for a meeting to discuss the particulars of the construction project.

It is ordinary in arrangements like this, at least on the surface, to offer a "gift" to the person with whom you are making the arrangements. I dont know for certian if this is a tradition here in the Underdark, or among the Duergar, but I feel it will be prudent that I offer something to him during our conversation, as we near the close of the official "deal".

If I dont meet you before then, I'll be happy to front the coins, provided you can assure me that they will find their way back to me. I hope you wont confuse this as greed.

I understand completely. I'd like to go with you, if only to get a chance to meet them myself. However, if by chance we do not meet up before then, feel free to front the coins and I will cover you for any expenses. I do also have an amulet we may be able to offer instead of coins. It is slightly magical and I hardly ever wear it because of my holy symbol, which I do not like to take off.
