With recent developments with the Drow threatening our city I think it only best that guards on the Gates and around the city proper are boosted to ensure all things run smoothly in this dark time, I would like to offer myself up for deputization during these 10 days to show my worth before I push to join the Watch proper.

Hey Rufus,

Right now, the way I'm seeing it, we don't have much a need for more deputies, we've already got a good lot of them who we can call on to defend the city in times like this. Joining the Watch isn't too difficult though, if you're dedicated and the others think you'll be a good one.

Swing by the Watch House now and then to speak with one of us about joining, cause the main thing is in getting recommendations. Don't worry about the deputy business right now though.

Also: if you could tell me anything specifically about what happened at the gates, I'd appreciate it a great deal, cause we seem to be missing first hand accounts of what happened. It'd go a good way toward getting your name known among the others.
