I thank you once again for taking time to speak with me the other day. At your request, this letter contains my qualifications for entrance into the Watch, with the hopes that you will do as promised and write a letter of recommendation for me, if you find that fitting.

My name is Alex Windmere. On the surface I attended a small but well-known school of combat and military strategy devoted to the Lady of Strategy. I excelled above my peers in all aspects, particularly in strategy and tactics.

My understanding of war could greatly aid in the defense of our city. I am currently working on a comparison of the defenses of Fort Mur and Sanctuary in the hopes of providing Sanctuary with ideas for improvement. Additionally, I am a superb commander and would be ideally fit for leading troops into battle. Finally, I am certain that you recognized my understanding and respect for the Law in our previous conversation.

I think everyone begins at the bottom, in town watch, so vacant commander seat is perhaps too much to hope for. Perhaps it would be more suitable to begin as a private, you certainly do not strike as a modest man....but modesty is really out of fashion these days. I'd like to have second talk with you, when the time permits, but my impression is certainly a good one.
