Thomas Alqvin, Last Stand Inn

[Written in beautiful flowing script with a definite, yet subtle elven twist to it.]

Master Alqvin,

Rest assured that the Scorned Edge mercenary company stands at the ready to assist you in exploration of the tomb of Asherak. We are a disciplined lot and will follow your orders as they pertain to respecting the tomb, its content(s), and any customs involved.

Further, our experienced members will see to it that you receive a very personal experience in traveling with us. Your safety is paramount, as is your total satisfaction. Anything less would be any other merc company.

We await your further instructions regarding a time, and the location. Any questions you may have may be sent to General Ebonhand, at Fort Mur.

Lastly, should you require us to locate this tomb ourselves, I'm sure we could do so in return for a guarantee on the job of exploring it along with you. Send any details you may have along with your reply, should this offer strike your fancy.

Valas the Red

Valas the Red,

As I've written previously, any information found on the Tomb of Asherak will be rewarded greatly. If you can divine the location of the tomb, or find any artifacts previously recovered from the tomb, I will pay handsomely, and consider this very strongly in your favor when it comes time to choose a group to enter the place.

I recommend asking the people and institutions of the town called Sanctuary, as I believe it was from that settlement the last group departed.

Sincerely,

Thomas Alqvin

Master Alqvin,

We will begin the search for this tomb of Asherak at once. I have but a few questions that you could perhaps answer to speed the search.

You mentioned this Asherak was a mage, I assume you would then likely know his race as well? And second what artifacts were known to be recovered, or is that uncertain?

Valas the Red

Valas,

The Archmage Asherak is shrouded deeply in legend, however, I believe he was human. In most depictions of him in the later, more accomplished years of his life, he was missing his right hand. He is most reknowned for his incredible research and advances in the areas of negative plane manipulation and necromancy.

Although, all I have learned thus far from the people I have questioned is that a group left Sanctuary to explore a very dangerous tomb or dungeon, and only a few returned alive. I am not sure whether those survivors still live, or whether their friends or acquaintances still call Sanctuary their home.

Sincerely,

Thomas Alqvin
