Everyone who plays on EfU has the right to make an anonymous account to play under. Although you're free to ask who someone is, you may not under any circumstances spread another user's identity to someone else without specific permission to do so. It is strictly forbidden to sleuth out people's identities and then spread that knowledge around. If you want to know who someone is, you are welcome to ask them. If they want you to know, they will tell you.
This is also an issue with player characters played by DMs. In EfU, we are extremely strict about DM PCs not receiving XP/loot beyond what they can earn through normal play. There's no question that DMs have an advantage in terms of OOC'ly knowing the server well and having a lot of experience with NWN, but it's important to understand that DM PCs receive no special advantages and are just a character like any other.
Choosing to spread the knowledge of anyone's identity in EfU (or status, such as whether they're played by a DM) should be considered a potentially bannable offense. If someone else spreads this knowledge to you, please contact myself or another DM.
We're not trying to be secret police or unreasonable about these kinds of things, but for the health of the server it is important that all players demonstrate a degree of respect and politeness about these sorts of issues.
