I think its fine to do so in letters as it unclogs the forum.
I find it silly to do it on expensive zhurkwood
flyer
which cost 10 gold coins per copy at the "Scriveners".
We're like living in a really really backward place of the world, and I feel post wars in public advertisement... arent the greatest thing.
I'd suggest making new posts everytime you post a poster or flyer, except if it your casual: "Selling blah blah, or recruitment poster, etc."
Propaganda are more fun if they arent built like this:
Argument 1 by Group 1
Counter Argument 1 by Group 2 + Argument 2
Counter Argument 2 by Group 1 + Argument 3
Etc...

Forums have a limited amount of space. Granted, it's a hell of a lot, but still, consolodating what you can is always preferable. If all related posts are simply in one thread, it saves a hell of a lot of space. And it just makes things so much more convenient.

I have to agree with both you guys. I dislike it when people get into a posting flame war in the Public Notices forum. At the same time, I would expect someone to respond to negative attacks. (Such as during campaign time.) However, I think the combination of responding back to the attacker (publicly) should be followed by a reaction to the attack in game. It's much better to deal with it in game than have an IC flame war on the forums.

In the flyers forum, I find it kind of silly. They're flyers, they are dropped in the street. If it was a notice, it'd go in the Public Notice forum. You can't really have a flame war with flyers than tend to be blown around the street, you'd end up with a mix matched jumble of flyers with no real connection between each of them, not a perfect logical conversation.

I figure, and I know I'm guilty of NOT doing this, if you want to respond to someone's flier--start a NEW flier of your own. For some reason, it just makes more sense to me.

Maybe because its already part of the rules!
Mr. Cheezit:
If your character wishes to post something in response, you should use a separate thread, just as they would use another piece of parchment in game. Those players unable to follow these instructions may have their posts altered or deleted from this forum without notice.
I completely approve of flame wars over that forum
Of course you do ;)

It does turn into almost a chat channel in those flyers.
