UMD Scroll Replacement

Though not a bug specifically, it is kind of annoying.

When using scrolls, if you fail the UMD check you get a new scroll. Good so far. The annoying thing is, the replacement scrolls that you get don't necessarily stack with the rest of them, especially if the originals were PC-made.

So, yeah. While not majorly inhibiting or anything, it is pretty annoying for your Inventory/quickslots.

I wish there were a way around this.

If anybody knows of one, please chime in.

I think it's going to be one of those problems that we'll have to live with, because, as I see it, you'll only really be able to fix it for one scroll source or the other. PC made, or the "naturally" occurring ones.

I remember Thrawn telling me once that the reason items of the same kind don't stack is because of some special item identifier field not matching up exactly.

Maybe the script that generates the new item should be attached to the UMD check script and copy that item identifier prior to deleting the old item.

I know nothing about whats possible in NWN scripting, but I'm just trying to be helpful.......
