Letter to the Council

Councillors,

My name is Straik, I'm a private in the Watch.

Lately there's been a rash of violence on the part of the druids, especially against citizens of Sanctuary who have been hunting rothe in the wilderness.

Trying to hunt down the druids would be ridiculous, and ill-advised too, because they really are trying to help the city out, even though they are going about it a little poorly.

The rothe are in danger of being overhunted to extinction. If it continues, they'll all be dead, and the predators in the wilds will have to move on to new prey, specifically Sanctuary itself. The mines are dangerous enough lately with all the beasts camping out in there. It's because our citizens travel through the area and the predators know there's a good shot at getting food there (and by food I mean people).

If things don't change, it's bad for everyone, so I'm writing to ask you lot to do something about all this.

Issue a decree telling the citizens of the city why they shouldn't hunt rothe. Make it against the law for a while, so that the Watch can actually do something about it. Do something, alright?

I'm a hunter myself, and acquainted with the dangers of overhunting, and this is a real issue, don't sweep it under the carpet.

Private Straik Giles
