The Joys of the Underdark

[Distributed invisible by a woman wearing a pot helm and robes]

The Joys of the Underdark The Lesson of the Depths

Give me no walls, no stone or hallowed hall. No luxuries do I seek, no gentleness no more. Give me a life of fear coupled with certain death, as prowlers, hunters and lizards hunt to eat my flesh.

Tooth and claw strike truly, sturdy steel I hold no more. Let us run, open prey for the chase! Death comes swiftly, take its embrace!

Take away the polished gem, the smoothed marbled hall, the soft prison of silks, from you to know no more. Hand me your livelihoods, your knowledge and your dreams, I'll give you my burden and suffering to seed!

Balance is as I say, an important necessity. You must limit your consumption, starve in melancholy. Else my wrath be laid down upon you, dogs to wear and tear; beasts to meet and eat until you greet despair.

Might makes right, right to make you prey. Let the beasts hunt and chase, and not know cold steel's embrace!
