Good Citizens of Sanctuary, It is my great pleasure to tell you that the council has agreed to my motion, and that half-orcs are no longer part of the monstrous creature law and are considered to be citizens once again. They may get their citizen stones once again from the town hall, in few days time.

Also in effort to further trade, we the council, have decided that the duergar are to be accepted as citizens again. While some people do have reservations about the race after the banking incident, which most of us lost fair deal, we do not want few rotten eggs to stop progress and trade. Let us give them a second chance.

Of course I could not have done this without help of my fellow councilors, especially Councilor Ferdidand who I did discuss this in great detail.

Thank you, let us hope tomorrow will be brighter and with less tensions with these changes.

Since there are some confusion and finger pointing about duergar issue, I must try and calm your feelings. We the council did decide on this, not any individual alone.

Let me clarify that we are not welcoming anyone that is involved in criminal activity. The law is the same to everyone. I understand if some of us have strong hatred towards this race, but the fact is that isolation in this vile and unforgiving place is not wise. We need to choose allies in order to survive and prosper. Sometimes the allies can start at being uneasy at best, but matters can develop to the better if there is mutual effort. Let us not forget that we did live peacefully with the clan Grunstubhle for about 150 years.

Perhaps sometimes we are needed to at least try to forget our differences, and perhaps there is small hope for a better future. Let us give this a chance at least?
