I got me to thinking, there really hasn't been enough flaming or trolling on Efu for a long time.
So!
What's better, Macs or PC (And before you say, yes I know linux pwns but open source OS's arn't in this fight)

I vote pointless.
Hum, i'm just wondering who has tried both, really ?
Seeing the results, it seems that it reflects rougthly the market shares of mac/pc owners...
I voted Mac. I use PCs at home. It depends on what you use it for.
If you can, play around with a Mac for a while. You might like it.
I have used both. I still vote Macs. They are more user friendly, don't have viruses, usually don't have to worry about spywares or such, and they also look better.
Of course, there are more games for PCs, but that is only the sillyness of the game companies. Thus, game companies suck.
I use both, and have used Macs as my main computer up until about 6 years ago.
I use PC at home and Mac at Uni. *shrugs*
There's advantages and disadvantages to both. But I voted PC because I use it to play EfU!
Videogames for the win. Windows beats Mac every day on that level.
If you are not a tech fan and actions like updating drivers, defragging, scheduling update anti-virus scanning, anti-Trojans, anti-spyware and formatting sounds too complex for you, go for Mac.
You get some application limitations but you don’t have to worry much about maintenance. Beside you get the best graphics with a Mac.
Yet if you want applications and compatibility, PC/Windows is the winner. Although you already have bootcamp for Macs...
Now if you want the “Top 10 reasons to use Mac/Windows” by Haquin here we go (the order doesn’t matter, that’s what I remembered so far):
Mac: 1 – As said before, you don’t have to worry about maintenance, the software are made especially for that hardware, best performance and less headache. 2- Best image and image editors. 3 – Best design. 4 – Tons of good and free multimedia software (already comes with the Mac) . 5 – Its safer. 6 – Media center with remote control, you can plug on TV or use as a home-multimedia-center. 7 – Best platform to work with graphics, movies and image editors. Most of the movie's special effects are made on Macs. 8 – Born online, you don’t have to install or configure anything; just plug the cable. 9 – Mac OS X comes with everything you could possibly need. 10 – If you compare a Mac with a PC of the same price, the Mac has better hardware and features.
PC/Windows: 1 – Easy to use 2 - More liberty (not even mentioning Linux here). 3 – Applications for anything you could possibly imagine. 4 - Good search engine (Windows Vista only). 5 – Easy to configure and control network. 6 – Best for games. 7 – 9/10 users use Windows. 8 – Easy remote access configuration, you can easily access any pc you want. 9 – Incredibly easy to install anything. 10 – More hardware options.
I've used both for a long time, and first started using computers with Macs way back in the day. I've even worked in a Mac specialist store, and should hopefully be doing so again soon. That being said, I always felt it was sort of stupid to give your allegiance to a brand. I like both platforms, and, as previously stated, they have their various strengths and weaknesses.
Macs definitely have a major weakness in the games department, but this is more to do with the variety of games being released on the platform. Not many developers bother with multiplatform releases, and so it falls on other companies to do the ports. My biggest problem with Macs is the sheer cost of the machines though, they really aren't cheap.
I'd have to refute Haquin's point about applications though. From a professional perspective, if you're doing music or graphics, all the major applications are there. The only thing the platform lacks in that area is access to the bevy of obscure freeware applications that PCs can select from.
And, "updating drivers, defragging, scheduling update anti-virus scanning, anti-Trojans, anti-spyware" is sort of redundant, given that the system de-frags on the fly while you use the machine, and many drivers are built into system updates or the original system release. As for viruses, OS X itself is slightly more secure than your standard PC. And, quite frankly, not many Trojan/Virus makers bother to make things to affect Macs anyway. What would be the point in affecting a mere 5% of the computer-using population?
In the perfect world, I'd have three computers. A suped up gaming PC, a suped up Mac kitted out as a media box, and a nice modular laptop.

Actually it’s a bit more complex than just that. Every game uses a graphic API called Directx, made by Microsoft. Somewhere near July Microsoft will release Directx 10, that will be required for most (if not all) upcoming games. But at the same time because of the requirements and limitations of the others OS, Directx 10 can only work on Vista, not even Windows XP. So iIt will be quite hard for Mac users play any of the upcoming games.
So creating a game for Macs it’s a lot more expensive and requires some hard work since Mac’s uses a different graphic API, it doesn’t support Directx. So it’s just cheaper for most companies not making any version of games for Macs.
Of course there are ways to emulate a certain game, but its complex to point it goes against most of “easy to use” benefits.
And about professional application Mac still lacks a lot non-graphical tools, there are several programming languages and CAD/engineer's softwares that has no support whatsoever on Macs, such as .Net, C#, VB … Of course most of them made/bought by Microsoft.
Which is one of the reasons they created the Bootcamp. So you can install any OS in a different partition of a Mac, but thats going off-topic.
PC.
Then we're obviously agreed in that department, Macs aren't the choice platform for gaming.
Next!
PC > Mac
Forever.
Sorry, I just don't see the hype. The mac is good if you're below sub-human intelligence and you just need something that you can point and click and some suave animations will take you to myspace or play the newest chamillionaire song.
As far as graphics go, my PC will out action any of your photoshop macs. So bring it.
Macs are just terrible, icky things. Yuck.
(I've just never been a fan of things that are 'dumbed down' for average people. The mac is an excellent example.)
PC.
Never owned a Mac. Guess I'm gonna have to go with PC out of ignorance.
