Below is an analyzed following of the reports. The gate is guarded by a patrolling force of a few guards and mages, prepared with see invisibility and often see stealth spells, especially when there is an alert. In the area around, spiders patrol for defence. On the main gate there are more drow and spiders patrolling and guarding. There is another way into the sewers, guarded by slimes.
