First time I ever saw something like this happen.
My character was wounded, and went to -3 hit points. The first recovery save roll was 100, so he stabilized immediately. Over the next 15 or so rounds, he slowly recovered. However, when he healed to 0 hit points, he suddenly dropped back to -3 again.
Nothing caused the damage... he just suddenly dropped from 0 to -3. No event was in the log to explain it. My character was alone at the time, no other party members, and no combat or events were going on anywhere in the area.
My log showed the healing (from -3 to 0), and I watched the hit points go up every increment (from -3 to 0) on my character pic, and then back down to -3. He was still "stable" when it dropped him back down to -3 -- he merely started the process of recovering all over again. A DM intervened and healed him, so I don't know if this would've repeated had he arrived at 0 hit points again.
Weird.

Has this happened again, or to anybody else?
I'm tempted to say that it was a weird one-time bug.

Has not happened again. I'm wondering if perhaps it was a lag issue -- that is, my local PC lost contact with the server, but kept processing recovery, meanwhile the server stalled -- then they both synchronized to the server when connection was re-established?
Not sure if that's how it works, but is the only scenario I've been able to imagine to explain it.

I notice similar things happen when people respawn, on a minor basis. They respawn, and start at '-X' hp right away. As if 1, or two CON was taken away and replaced within a split second.

Maybe this happens only to races with penalties/bonuses to CON then?
