Not entirely sure its a bug, but I'd hope so. In one of the rooms past the second set of houses and shacks--all the foes spawn right on top of you.
That is a lot of foes, and they're very very very much more powerful than everyone you face before that. This resulted in a very very very dead me in one round.
Second part, the boss got stuck on the one of the edges of the tileset. May want to move his spawn point over too by an inch or so. Since he took a few rounds to get unstuck, his animation even froze (Bioware issue probably with getting stuck).
