Letter to the Council

Councilors,

I have read over the transcripts pertaining to the two Gnomes who destroyed the Shadow Dragon Statues in the Canal Ward and have some questions. As far as I know, there have been no amendments to the Eleint Accord. As such, “all creatures of slaver and monstrous races shall continue to be unwelcome in Sanctuary as a whole. This shall be enforced by the Watch.” (Eleint Accord/Citizenship) If this is still the law, then how is it that the Kobolds are afforded restitution by the council for the destruction of their Statues? These are the very same statues that they cared not to dismantle after they relocated. Taking into consideration what the previous council has written into law, I find the council paying restitution to the Kobolds a gross waste of the citizens of Sanctuary resources.

Additionally, I write this letter to you to express my concern for the Seeker Organization. From what I have read at the library, the Seeker Organization was originally chartered with long range scouting, reporting of threats, as well as assisting with the mitigation of those threats while they diligently investigate leads pertaining to ways to the surface. Yet, during the many months I have been employed by the Watch, I have yet to see a single report pertaining to any of the Seeker chartered responsibilities. Sanctuary was nearly completely destroyed numerous times by invasions by Drow, Lizardfolk, Orogs, etc, but there has never been a single word of the pending assault by a Seeker nor has a Seeker ever been seen contributing to Sanctuary’s defenses. Although, the Seeker Organization continues to receive funding from the people for their responsibilities. I find this completely shameful.

You are the newly elected council and I am certain that addressing and rectifying these two issues will do much to increase creditably of the council.

Good concerned citizen. The councilor in question does not have sole authority to decide on compensation. In fact, as the city is no way responsible for the destruction of the statues, so I see no reason why city should fund them. I will vote against any compensation, the gnomes are the guilty party here for unauthorized and unsafe destruction on city land.

The Seeker matter is currently under investigation.

Please write to me directly, if there are any further concerns that I can help you with. I am happy to investigate on any possible concerns.

Councilor Wyric Crowshire
