Interested in a concept? Druid Faction, Ho!

Okay so ive noticed there isnt really a druid faction.

In fact I've noticed there just aren't a lot of druids at all.

In game experiences have crafted my druid in an interesting direction. Anyone looking to get some involvement outside the standard slave thing, or the goody two shoes thing, might want to join up and make something. Besides, there is a really big IG secret about Sanctuary that druids play a part of that nature types would have a vested interest in finding out.

Yeah we dont get some of the standard druid bonuses, but we got our own special shop with great prices and we rest free in LOTS of places and some we shouldnt.

So I am calling for people looking to get in on the ground floor. Maybe we might give ol grizabella a run for her money, or maybe we might be a loose association of nature types, or who knows.

But I do know that the more people you meet the cooler EFU is, and the DMs would be all about a druid faction. Groves are so surface minded. Lets come up with a cool name. Send me PMs.

Try Druid councils and see how that works. Set up a high druid ((which is the highest lvl druid)) and meet up regularly for meetings. Its not a faction or "Order" ((Trust me Orders do not work for druids or rangers)) If there is a huge threatening event, just group up and discuss the problem.. Have a large friendly chat.

Freit That's a bit like having a 'cleric faction', isn't it? I'm sceptical about how it would work, since druids are incredibly diverse in their philosophies.
They may have different beliefs but a majority of druids share a common goal.. There main interest is the safe guarding of nature.

Usually, what you say is awesome, but on this instance, your similie is simply incorrect.

It's more akin to having a Paladin Faction/Order of various deities than having a Cleric Order (Which is a fine idea). Though, I do agree that Druids do have more diverse views than Paladins, given the possibility for evil.

Don't let Freit discourage you, Breen.

I might be interested. PM me later with details.

well honestly im not looking to make tobias head druid of anything, but i guess a druidic council would be useful. Really I was thinking along the lines of like minded people, but seeing as noone really sees things Tobias's way, that can go by the wayside. Maybe when more druids pop up we can councillate. I think thats agreeable. Tell you what, I'll see if I can organize a meeting after the election hubub.

Dr Breen get ahold of me on here or on mIRC

i think i want to help you out and be a druid

Druidic factions are a great idea. I disagree as far as 'cleric' faction goes too - someone mentioned once, a druid is a druid first, their gods dogma second, while a cleric is their goddess's dogma first, their clerical nature second (and besides, you get Banite clerical sects, and Lathanderites and allsorts)

And they are very interesting to play. I never thought i'd enjoy one as much as i did. Certainly, there's scope there for balance and there are enough aberrations about to make any druids lips go dry.

And WotC left them pretty much blank canvasses, there are no hard and fast rules as to how druids go about their business, so we won't interfere and say "You should be doing so-and-so! Druids don't do such-and-such" unless it's really obvious.

I think for sure ill look into this after the 21st. probably a council of druids would be advisable. since my druid is very unique, i dont think he would be the kind to attract or lead a following, so it wont be like "Tobias Breen Druid Company, Inc" but the council would be a good idea.

I ran a pretty darn successful druid faction. I can give you a few pointers there.

Albeit, my attempt at an ooze faction is failing right now. So who am I to offer advice?
