UMD and The Multiclassed Rogue/Priest.

Ok, Cog is Rogue/Priest. I've made some Priest wands, and I am being subjected to UMD checks to use them.

I'm a priest... 5 levels of it...

I have samet hing with my ranger/rogue. I tried to use scrolls that are usable by rangers, but I can't since I don't have UMD and I always fail the roll.

Wizard scrolls are useable with no problems by a multiclass paladin/rogue/wizard with a few ranks in UMD.

Sounds like the script checks for UMD are in the wrong order. It's probably checking for rogue first, or not at all, as far as the other classes are concerned.

I can say that bards do not suffer this problem when using arcane wands.

bump

LaBrea I can say that bards do not suffer this problem when using arcane wands.
UMD is a bard skill anyway. If you couldn't, the problem would be of an entirely different kind. As it is, all of the problems are related to multiclassing.

Anthee UMD is a bard skill anyway.
It is also a Rogue skill. If it checks for UMD first, and only then if the character would actually normally be able to use said item, this would make no difference. However, I have a Rogue/ Sorcerer, and I'll check out what will happen to him, when he uses Arcane items. Maybe the problem is with Divine spells, not with Arcane.

Power < Art.

High likelihood that it's just divine spells.

Rogue/rangers, rogue/clerics, rogue/druids, and rogue/paladins should now have UMD function properly when attempting to use divine magic items. Please report back if this is not the case, as of v395.
