The discussion of names got me thinking about which names I've liked most on the server.
What appealed to me about these names is that they not only sound cool, but somehow seem like -the- fitting name for the character; almost as if any other name just wouldn't have been right. However, I had very limited IG experience with most of the characters on the list.
In no particular order:
Contego Ferrington
Barrister Fawkes (btw would you say it like rhymes with "hawks" or like "fawk-eez")
Julian Fryar
I"m sure that I'm forgetting a bunch. I also left off the names of some characters that are still alive. I encourage others to post names that they have liked.

Alexander Archibald.
Class to match the character. It's like a Cadillac in my mouth.
Guilty pleasures: Siolas Moonshadow, Auvreacal, Earas Nightstar.

For the boys: Laramie Lathae.
For the girls: Vibernum Blackhaw.
And sorry, but no, no names can match the awesome that is Laramie Lathae-or L.L., as he is fondly remembered.
Mmgh.

I'd say Delgado for the side of the law. It just sounds like a badass guy who will reach down your throat and pull out your intestines.
For the lawless, I'd say Winston.
For a guy who is a hardcore badass *spoiler*, he has a name that depicts tea-sipping. Very cool. Very "Boy named sue". I'm sure if someone made fun of his name, Winston would own them.

I remember a name from my early days here at EfU and remember the character to have made a quite the impression on myself. Never interacted with him, but from the first sight he intimidated and intrigued me.
- Nsi N'Kalau
(Please correct me, because I can't be sure to remember the correct spelling)

That's correct, it was Nsi! (an excellent name.) His surname was N'Kalou. This thread kind of worries me... but I guess I won't lock it.

erglionBarrister Fawkes (btw would you say it like rhymes with "hawks" or like "fawk-eez")
Rhymes with hawks. The original incarnation of Fawkes was as a servant for a mysterious master and he created a cadre of adventurers called Fawkes Hawks.

When I first joined the server one of the first folks I met was a half-orc named KROOP.
It was just one of those non-sensical names that was easy to remember and stuck in your head.

Again, the greatest tradgedy of the server was Gnarled Bat Knickerson calling himself Thom. Good night, Sweet Prince.

I am obligated by character marriage to say "Jenner"
:P
However-- I have always been a fan of nice simple names that sound like the attitude of the character-
Bo
Clover
Bern (yes-- I know- Vibernum - but who can spell that correctly when its 3am in the morning-- and the quest just won't end-- and everyones red eyed, tired, grouchy, and just wants to get it over with-- so we can all get to bed?)
Tommy Ten-Iron's== good name-- nice, simple, and fits the hulking brute persona.
Not a big fan of long names that are almost impossible to spell. You get nicknames--
Amywieng-- always trying to spell it "Amyweing"-- so you get shortened to Amy. :P
Heck-- even Tagnar got nicknamed "Stoney" cause I kept switching the G and the N.
And yes-- the orriginal name for Ferdinand was Fen Fen, and it wasn't until someone pointed out that Fen Fen was the nickname of a weightloss drug that killed a bunch of people that I changed it to Ferdinand. (I was also told that Fen Fen is a "just for fun" name best not used -- destroys the suspension of disbelief)
I like the really ingenious names- but there again-- too many apostrophe's, and I am sure to figure out some other way to name you.
And I will just keep calling him Elym. Cause Asclepius keeps getting spelled "Asleepus". Only did that once. Sorry, mate.
^_^
