Honorable Gerom Portnom,

As an appointee by the honorable Mayor Bhast himself, I am certain you are a man of high moral principles. Otherwise you would not have been recommended by the Mayor himself. As such, I write this letter to you to express my concern for the Seeker Organization. From what I have read at the library, the Seeker Organization was originally chartered with long range scouting, reporting of threats, as well as assisting with the mitigation of those threats while you diligently investigate leads pertaining to ways to the surface. Yet, during the many months I have been employed by the Watch, I have yet to see a single report pertaining to any of your organizations chartered responsibilities. Sanctuary was nearly completely destroyed numerous times by invasions by Drow, Lizardfolk, Orogs, etc, but there has never been a single word of the pending assault by a Seeker nor has a Seeker ever been seen contributing to Sanctuary’s defenses. Although, the Seeker Organization continues to receive funding from the people for their responsibilities. I find this completely shameful.

If this was not damning enough, one of your seekers is frequently seen in the company of criminals and insurgents. This was confirmed when the Watch and Spellguard had entered into hostilities with a criminal element of Sewer Town who were seeking to revive the Ubel Rebellion. At the conclusion of the hostilities, with the bodies of Watchmen piled up around, Seeker Ruby Cannonball was seen conversing with many of the rebels in a friendly fashion. This presented the image as if the Seeker Organization had in some way sponsored this rebellion. Subsequent city wide sending was later boasted about the slaughter inflicted on the watch by the Sewer Town folks with the support of the Seeker Organization. Again…this is completely shameful.

I understand you are just coming into position, so I will give you time to address these deplorable standards within your organization. However I am ready to lobby the council for the complete removal of all funding to the Seeker Organization should you feel my concerns do not hold merit.
