Sprawled around mostly in Lower wit hthe odd copy also in Upper are little flyers, written on in a neat and flourished feminine handwriting. They read:
Treasure Hunter Carmen is back in business!
Having recently escaped the drow in a most spectacular way, I make my home in Sanctuary once more.
What can I do for you?
Cryptic maps, writings or other things that just smell of treasure. I know the area like the back of my hand and am adept at decoding maps, or making them, should you plan to venture anywhere in particular. Any traps or locks that may stand between you and your desired treasure is likely something I am capable of handling. Also if you plainly misplaced your front door key again.. Also, required information about whereabouts of places, people or artifacts are among my fields of expertise. Payment varies on difficulty and/or gains of a task but will be mostly kept low, for fortune favors the bold!
What might you do for me?
Apart from spreading the word to your friends, I appreciate any traces of rumours about places of interest, long forgotten remnants of older civilisations that may still hold a share of treasure and vent-ure. If you are a like-minded person you can offer your services or share resources with me, for a fair gain of whatever spoils we are to see in the future. You can be considered to become part of the Treasure Hunters' union! (Historians, healers, shipwrights, survival experts, trackers, techsmiths, translators needed)
Should you not be the adventurous type, a sponsoring or donation is always welcome!
A good amount of found treasure and other income will go to the starving population of my beloved home Lower Sanctuary.
My latest projects have already met with success!
Still looking for folks interested in a Treasure Hunter's union, contact me and I can give you an assignment as well as a copy of the code if desired. Leave word for Carmen at the Pissing Crone if you want to know more about my current projects or have something for me; or find me, description follows (please turn the page):
The other side shows a charcoal drawing of a black haired girl bearing enough resemblance to Carmen to identify her; wearing a strapless dress, and a coin around her neck, with an epee and a keyring by her side, standing upright, one leg placed on a half buried treasure chest; giving a friendly smile.
