Took and completed the Shadow Tribe errand quest, but no entries resulted in my journal. Not when picked up, and not when completed.

Also took this quest out of interest... but didn't complete it.

Can confirm that the journal entry upon receiving the quest is bugged. I got a journal entry but no system message, but it was an blank error entry saying: plot_natch_delivery

In addition. No ooc quest info in the quest giver's description.

Has this been resolved?

I'll check next time I make a delivery there.

By the way, the area (Ssal'teesh) is still flagged as a "quest area", so you can't make a campfire to rest. It would be nice if you could either make a fire, or if there were beds to rent at the kobold camp, so you can prepare spells for the return trip.

Can't you rest at the blue inn to prepare for the way back?

If there is an Inn in the area, then ignore my suggestion. I walked all around the map, talking to all the NPC's and checking behind all the doors to find if there was an Inn or a "Do you mind if I sleep here?" dialogue option, and didn't find one. Perhaps I missed it, or perhaps it wasn't functional the day I was there, or perhaps you're indicating something on an adjacent map?

It's definitely an area that you should be able to rest, given it's the safest place in that region. It seemed silly that I had to leave a well-defended area and find a dangerous place (one where nasty spawns are likely and frequent) in order to rest.

Made a special trip out to Sslal'teesh to see if the Journal entry was still a problem. It worked fine, this time.

However, the @$&%! trip cost me 3 levels and 8000 xp (and nearly all my gear,) as I can still find no place whatsoever to rest in the Sslal'teesh docks and/or lower caves. Thus, you can't prepare for the trip back.

The situation is made worse in that, in the map adjacent to Sslal'teesh docks, there is a spawn point very close to the transition. Something is almost always spawned there. Since you can't rest at Sslal'teesh, you need to go to this wilderness area to rest. However, you can't rest because an "enemy is near". You either have to successfully sneak past (and likely walk a ways, since there are spawn points all over the map) or kill the encounter. Killing the encounter is unlikely, as the spawn is usually something like 6 volts, or Umber Hulk Behemoth, or some such, where you desperately need to have your protection spells ready to fight them.

It really, really, really ruins your night when this happens. It doesn't make any sense that you can't rest somewhere on the Ssal'teesh docks, given that there's a whole community there, as well as traders, and it's the safest place in the region.

If there's someplace to rest, it is well hidden -- I checked every door, talked to every NPC, walked around every inch of the map with 14 search looking for hidden areas, and explored 3 cavernous areas below the docks, and there was nowhere I could rent a bed nor light a fire.

Going to post in the "suggestions" area regarding having a place to rest.

You should be able to rest in Sslal'teesh Docks as of v1017.
