A few posters are placed up in prominent positions around both Upper and Lower Sanctuary. Such as the Town Hall and Last Stand Inn, but also around the Residential District, and a few on the outsides of buildings in Lower.

These have been a troubling few days for Sanctuary, with many shocking events, perpetrated on all sides, which no doubt leave many heads spinning, wondering with whom one should side with. At base, they all come down to the presence of the Tribe of the Blade. They have come to the city and speak to us with tongues forked. While they swear good faith, friendship, and fealty, their actions betray them for the leeches they are. Demanding blood money to defend the city from a foe they themselves hired is nothing short of the most severe trespass one can imagine. Good men -- Watchmen, with wives and children -- died during the assault, because of the gluttony and sadism of the Tribe of the Blade. The Sheriff Barrister Fawkes is not an overzealous sycophant. He ought be regarded as a champion of justice. Do you think those men and women who had their very lives extinguished during the battle cry out for mercy and moderation for the Treachers of the Blade? I am certain they do not. I do not. The Sheriff's actions following the attack, his disdain for the Treachers, his attempts to bring them to justice are commendable, not deplorable. How many among us take a stand for what we believe in when the foes are before us? I must confess, dear readers, that in my entire lifetime as a citizen of Sanctuary, I have seen precious few men and women who truly choose one side of the fence and stay there. Sheriff Barrister Fawkes is admirable for his compassion, and the respect he gives to the men under his command. Few people truly have the experience to know what it is to send a man to do a job that may very well result in his death. The Treachers of the Blade and their Beast-Blooded friends are to blame for all that comes to them for their actions.

I implore you, my fellow citizens of Sanctuary. Think what you will of Sheriff Barrister Fawkes, but before you condemn him as a fool or a zealot, consider for a moment how you would have behaved knowing that a dozen of your friends or companions lost their lives - and that the collective cause of their deaths stood back and laughed as it happened. Perhaps you would shrivel away in grief and fear, perhaps you would ignore the issue, pretend it never happened. Or perhaps you would go on in a vain hope to persue compromise, as certain forces in this city would rather do. Sheriff Barrister Fawkes has elected instead to fight for justice, in a system that restricts him in getting even that. And he does it not just for the sake of his men in the Watch, but for the good of the entire city. For you.

To be content to do nothing in our city of Sanctuary, is to clap oneself in irons, and embrace enslavement once more. Take a stand today. Take a stand FOR JUSTICE
