Buggy/Incomplete Quests

At the time of writing we have 38 quests in the module, with others half-built or in planning stages.

Some of these quests aren't functional, some have issues that need to be fixed.

As suggested, here is a list of those that I know have problems.

  • Castle Noctuvir: not finished

  • Frost Cave: needs testing

  • Once Upon an Illithid (Intryzz): needs to be opened by a DM

  • Thomas's Corpses (Thomas): needs testing

  • Gypsie Sewer Lady: totally incomplete/closed off

Children in the Warrens should have enhanced pay, let me know if it isn't working for some reason.

Cookie and Ogre cave have been re-worked, let me know if there are any new bugs.

Children in the Warrens is probably fixed now.

Reward should be:

(1) Potions you find on the end boss (2) Ending XP (3) Potions from the kid

Orog Fortress ("Fortress Khun") should be up, running, and fully functional now. The quest giver has however been moved from the duergar in the bazaar to someone outside of Sanctuary though.

Children in the Warrens quest has been completely redone, hopefully fixing the "this quest sucks" bug.

Please test and get back to me about how it is (too hard/too easy/too rewarding/not rewarding enough).

Just a little bit of an update over what is about. There are about 60 quests now, so lots of reason to explore and to talk to NPC's. I'm going to update stats on level ranges again soon.

There should be very few quests that don't work, but please report any bugs you encounter.

wow, 60 quests! I think I've only done about maybe a third of them. Guess I need to be talking to more NPC's.

I encountered a slight bug with a quest I received from a woman a the Tigereye guild (deliver the papers to Fort Mur, I think it is called).

I tried to add a couple of people, but didn't see the conversation option. I tried a couple of the dialogue options to see if it would openup, but ended up losing (quitting) the quest.

Maybe something to look at.

That is a quest for a single person. Its a delivery of papers. You can take a party with you to the fort, but you're the only one delivering the papers.

I was wondering what the current status of Castle Noctuvir might be? Is it still unfinished? It's certainly disabled, but is the quest itself unfinished? Will it be implemented sometime in the future? Same question goes for the Mushroom Groove quest in You Know Where Cave.

The Castle Noctuvir quest was so ambitious that I'm not sure it will ever be fully scripted as a quest. In a sense it's more of just a large area. I've certainly run many, many Dm quests using the areas. If your character has a reason to go there, and organizes a group and you find a willing DM, I think that'd be fine.

Meram Dabble (candy lady) is missing a dialog option to finish the quest.

The placable giving quest for the Goblin Camp reads "Ettin Camp". More than once have I been forced to convince doubtful partymembers that we're NOT charging an ettin camp, but a goblin one...

The ghoul quest from sewertown, The questgiver isn't giving me the option to ask for it/ take it. I say Is there something I can do for you? He says Nothing I want to bother you with.

That quest isn't intended to be taken at the moment. That NPC should probably just be yanked from Sewertown next update.

I recently completed the New Version of the Gnoll Camp in the Mines.

We found that some of the *spoilers* in the narrows tunnels, (around the corner from the rothe pen), are actually located in the wall, and cannot be avoided, regardless of whether you spot them in-game, IC'ly, or whatnot.

The damage to the character is unavoidable altogether as a result. I can see some tanks going down fast to those. I'm not sure if it is intended to be such, as I avoided everything I could see. But it seems that everyone in the party could not avoid the *spoilers*.

When you sell rothe meat to Abbatakht Mur, your journal entry says you sold it to Hans.

the Hold quest is bugged. When you go to return the objects you were sent to retrieve, there is a dialogue saying you are paid, but you aren't. Furthermore the objects remain in your inventory.

I can fix that with a supremely simple script. If a DM just told me the TAGs of the items and what the rewards should be. Its been borked for a few years now.

Minor oddity:

The new gnoll quest boss still has the second name "Hashex" that the old boss had, making him "Ygirig the Mighty Hashex".

Didn't look like he was supposed to be named like that, reading the sign in front of the QA that only mentions a "Ygirig the Mighty".

Perhaps Hashex is a title the gnolls use for their leader? If not, then you're probably right.

Well, the new leader is a Flind though, whatever that is, AND the former gnoll boss now exists as 'blue' NPC in the Canal Ward/Mycopolis and still is named Ythorax (sp?) Hashex, so by that logic he ough to have lost that 'title' since he no longer is in charge of anything.

I'm sure someone knows about this already, but here it be:

Quaggoth quest, everything works perfectly until you enter the mines. The quest works perfectly the first time it's run after the reset, but after that the cavern doesn't reset. This includes the boss, making it impossible to finish.

Thomas' Gives no end of quest XP. it just shows

"you were not part of this quest and will receive no XP"

Winston's description says he has a quest, but you just get a speech pop-up of "join us in the crusade" when you talk to him.
