Ive seen this alot and I find it odd.
Why not when you buy an armor its only useable buy your race and size. (assuming when you buy an armor it fits you.) when buying armor have a slection first you select what type. Then you select what size. small medium or large.
small races goblins kobolds gnomes halflings hins etc
large-half orc full orc -other large races.
cause im sick of people looting armor and equiping it. Its kinda un IC a human can loot from a hin and equip a hins armor or a hin can get a humans armor looted and just put it on. I think it adds more rp and ic technical flavor.
medioum tieflings Asimars Dwarves Dureguar Eath gensai drow elf human half elf half drow -other medioum sizes
large-half orcs full orcs-other large races
I think this will be a good idea it seems kinda lame a hin can loot a human and equip his armor how does a small hin equip a armor that fits a race way larger then him?

If memory serves, Magic armors automatically change to fit the person who wears them.
And I can see very little purpose to having this on mundane armors except to be frustrating. Splint Mail is -already- impossible to sell, it doesn't need to only be sellable to one race of character.

For the record, half-orcs are human-sized. They aren't any taller!

There are a few sets of armor that we do not ask everyone to wear at will, even with UMD. It's mostly reserved for svirfneblin armor, but it can come up elsewhere. Otherwise, for everything else, it's assumed you can get it on your body somehow and I don't think that's going to change.

So much confusion, I do think the half orcs are a little taller. But then halfling armor would be so damn tiny that you could wear it as a thimble. NWN seems to have made them a bit larger than they would be.
Check this out..

The human is a little smaller then the orc but I dont think that should change anything IC

The main point is that she is definitely WAY more massive. You could fit the human twice into any armor that fits this half orc.
Just to make myself clear, I'm -not- in favor of racial armor restrictions apart from what we have right now (Svirfneblin and such on rare occasion), at all!

Just to point out, That scale is not the faerun scale. Elves in faerun are taller then most humans, orcs are slightly shorter but they are a bit more burly. The players guide shows the min-max of the differing races but I dont have it on me.
Anyhow the point being, we don't need to change anything. And that the above picture might confuse people. >_>

If this isn't the Faerûn scale, I would be most curious why they have it in the Dungeons and Dragons Player's handbook.
Faerûn elves ARE smaller than humans and this chart is correct.

This is not a desired change. Thanks for the suggestion though! :)

The PHB, from which that diagram is taken, is only for default D&D (that is, Greyhawk). Faerun is not the standard in 3rd edition or 3.5.
