Cog, long ago we discussed defending Sanctuary from those who meant ill to the people. I think you recall that day, when the Tigereyes made alliances with goblin slavers and together we annihilated their tribe.

Now I find myself accussed of perverse and untrue crimes; accusations of befriending and allying myself to illithids. Your aid, or at least friendship may be helpful in somehow clearing my name. Yet the real reason I seek you out now is the aid I can be to your cause.

I've seen the surface Cog. More than that, I know that the way to the surface is blocked by the illithids and only be destroying them can we be free. A long time ago, the svirneblin thought to use machines to clear the way. Their efforts failed--and I can tell you why. I have access to svirneblin survivors as well as some of their machines unwatched by the Spellguard.

Well, I dont know what help I can be to you, or in truth even if I should help you. I suppose it wont hurt to meet you for a conversation, and I'm willing to hear you out at least.

No funny stuff though! I'll be taking a few precautions that I hope to be unnecessary just in case. I tell you this because I respected very much your actions on that Goblin Fortress raid all those months ago. I wont lie to you or try to entrap you, and I hope you will respect me in a similar manner.
