I know we spoke briefly in the past pertaining to injustice resident within the watch, but I would like to relay to you an example of such. Enclosed are letters pertaining to the Watch Appeal Panel conveying to review my case.

Esteemed members of the Appeal Panel,

I am writing this letter as an inquiry of status into my case. Sergeant Quinn has made mention a dark or two ago that final closing statements were being made, however I have heard no word to date. I would hope that the complexities of my case are not such to warrant withdrawing many of you away from more important duties for too long.

I eagerly await final response pertaining to my case, as well as I am anxious to once again don the armor and the responsibilities of Sanctuary's Watch. Might I inquire as to how much longer my case will need deliberations before I receive final word?

Final decision has been made. You will be given the status of Deputy, for the next two weeks, during which you will be tested in a variety of ways. Your scores for these tests will be reviewed, at the end of the two weeks, at which point a decision will be made about whether or not to re-accept you into the Sanctuary Watch.

Attached is an outline of Deputy Powers.

Deputy: A Deputy is a Watchman who lacks the powers to arrest, fine, issue warrants, and carry a key to the Watch House. They're brought into service by a ranking member of the Watch to assist with a specific crisis - a weakened or undefended gate, a distant post that desperately needs to be manned, and so on. They still retain the right to openly carry and use their weapons in public, making them useful in breaking up fights or retrieving stolen goods, if assigned to the streets. They're asked to step down and return their equipment when the crisis they were enlisted for has passed.

Thank you for your response to my inquiry. I must respectively relay, however that I am shocked and surprised at the decision you collectively have reached. I thought the purpose of the appeal panel conveying was to look at the facts and circumstances that lead to my resignation, as well as to my request to make that resignation rescinded.

The decision you have reached relays the impression that I was deemed by the assembled panel as being completely unsuitable for service, decertified from law enforcement and security functions, and that I need to be tested in a variety of ways and then scored to determine of I am suitable for duties within the watch. My record would indicate much to the contrary.

Nonetheless, I will take this panel’s recommendation and allow myself to be tested and evaluated to determine if I am suitable for active duty with the Watch. However, I would like my record to indicate my objection to this finding on account being contrary to the facts and circumstances present in my case.
