As a fellow gnome I am concerned of your recent policy announcement regarding the Goblin infestation of lower. It shames me to call you brother if you need reminding that their kind are hateful and without redemption in the eyes of our Gods. Perhaps you should rethink allowing them to stay as long as possible. They should not be tolerated by any council member and the sooner we rid Sanctuary of their presence the safer and more prosperous we will be. Whether this is achieved through peaceful or violent means is of course up to the individual, but the outcome is what matters.
I hope you reconsider your position on the issue before election.
Sincerely,
Tarfil Greatvine

Mr Greatvine,
My reason for believing that these goblins should at least get a chance to stay is because we should not be too hard in choosing our allies here. Sanctuary has worked together with races that are considered most despicable on the surface, but here, in the Underdark, we cannot so easily hold grudges, because there are just about no friendly parties down here. My plans for the monstrous races laws is to make judgement whether or not a member of the races involving this law is allowed citizenship in Sanctuary on a case-by-case basis. This means that any of these goblins who wish citizenship in our city can get it, so long as they behave themselves honestly and honorably. Should they fail to meet these standards, they will be forced to leave.
If all of these goblins are as vile and evil as you say, then it is obvious that this problem will resolve itself in time. Eventually, my plan is to reclaim the goblin warren as Sanctuary property, and thus, only the honest goblins will remain.
To get it all very clear, NO, I do not approve of goblins, but they form no imminent threat, and thus their presence requires no imminent intervention.
I hope that I may have stilled any doubts you had in my words with this letter.
Sincerely,
Dugo Nish
