Society of the Ordered Mind

Uktar 12, 151 Society of the Ordered Mind Society Chapter House Regard: Theft and Assault

One of your Ordinant Members stands accused of theft and assault against a citizen of Sanctuary. The case is unusual in that the theft was of an item that is of an aberrant nature, and the Ordinant stole it to destroy. However, as there is no authority in the city charter granting the Society the right to steal from citizens, even items of an illithid nature and the Ordinant committed this act of assault and theft in the presence of a Watchman rather than turning the matter into his hands--the necessary consequences are clear.

I am still awaiting statements on this situation from all involved, but at the present course I expect that the Ordinant will be found guilty of the accusations against him and fined accordingly. I do wish to hear if your Society will have any concerns they wish to voice before this decision is reached.

Sheriff Fawkes

Sheriff Fawkes,

I find myself confused. I was told this dark that I would be tried for theft and assault with intent to kill by Private Casca. Is this no longer the case? If it is not, and as you say the charges leveled against me are to be theft and assault (Without intent to kill) then I would nonetheless desire council mediation in the decision of guilt or innocence. I still fully believe that the actions I undertook were required in order to protect the lives of several people whom Maelstrala seemed intent on putting at continued risk.

I would also encourage you to discuss the matter of the attempt on my life by Maelstrala and accomplice Pallantides with private Dromar before you fully believe that her intentions during the operation within the warren were honorable and pure.

-Ordinant Mordriau
